Introduction to the Fujisan World Cultural Heritage Council

The Fujisan World Cultural Heritage Council (hereinafter known as the Council) was established in January 2012 as a forum for deliberation for all related parties, for the purpose of preserving and managing the Fujisan World Heritage Site, carrying out maintenance activities, as well as promoting the conservation of its surrounding environment.

In addition to the Council's Fujisan World Cultural Heritage Council Working Group, the Fujisan World Cultural Heritage Academic Committee was also established to provide advice and reports from an academic viewpoint. Furthermore, the Fujisan Advisory Committee for Admission Fees was established to provide its opinion on the admission fee system for climbing the mountain.
